The USS U.S. Grant Alumni Association has normally conducted two-part reunions. Part ONE is a 4-night three-day ‘LAND’ reunion. Part TWO is a ‘CRUISE’ reunion which immediately follows part ONE. Shipmates can attend either of the two parts – or both.

2003 Reunion – Reno
The first reunion was held in conjunction with the USSVI and USSVWWII joint convention in Reno. The gathering included a group dinner at a local restaurant. The turnout was great for our first reunion with 25 shipmates attending. Below are some of the photos taken in Reno.

2005 Reunion – Branson
The second USS Grant Reunion was held at The Grand Plaza Hotel in Branson, Missouri.  The reunion was conducted mainly in a Hospitality Room within the hotel.    There were approximately 80 Shipmates and guests in attendance.

2006 Reunion – Phoenix
The third Grant Reunion was a mini-reunion held at shipmate Mike Moe’s home in Phoenix, Arizona.  The theme was “Hawaiian Luau”.     About 40 shipmates and guests attended this special reunion. This weekend mini-reunion had shipmates and their guests staying in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Phoenix with all the Hawaiian activities taking place at Mike and Sherry Moe’s Hawaiian decorated home.

2007 Reunion – Jacksonville
The fourth USS Grant Reunion was a two part reunion consisting of a land-based reunion from Oct 17-20 at the Jacksonville Airport Holiday Inn.  The second part of the reunion was a five day cruise from Oct 20-25th aboard the Carnival ship Celebration.   There were 108 people attending the land-based reunion portion with 117 Grant shipmates and their guests going on the cruise.

2009 Reunion – Seattle
The reunion was in two parts.   The first part was a land based gathering at the Courtyard Hotel in SeaTac. The reunion began with a gathering of fellow shipmates in the Grant Hospitality Room on Wednesday evening.  Refreshments and munchies were provided.  Many shipmates brought memorabila and photos with them.   Salty Tales were told and the room was filled to capacity.
